What's love got to do with it?
Updated: Dec 21, 2019
Tina Turner once said, “What’s love got to do with it?” You may be wondering why I’m dedicating a week to posting about love and all things in relation to it. Well, to answer the question- love has everything to do with it. In a world almost always bombarded by a dark cloud of hatred and malice, love still exists around all of us in some shape, form or fashion.
Don’t believe me? Look at your phone right now and tell me there isn’t one person in there that lights up your heart.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve loved love since I was a little girl. And years later… same energy. It’s because I’m a woman, right? Not even. Why is an innate desire to want to know, feel and be loved inherently labeled as feminine or “soft”?
We all have experienced some form of love, whether you believe it or not. We all have fallen into the trap of accepting something or someone with the hopes of love being in abundance, only to soon realize that it/they were an imposter.
So, what’s the big deal about love? What does it look like? Where do we go to receive it? Is Valentine’s Day even really a day to celebrate love? (pssst, we'll get into more of that later) Does love really "come and go" or is it an always present force?
As I'm getting older, my thoughts surrounding love have changed in different seasons of my life. I've experienced heartbreak and break throughs along the way, and love continued to remain as my guide.
Maybe you're intrigued about all of this talk about love or maybe you're cringing at the thoughts of what could possibly come next. Either way, I think it'd be a good idea if you stick around!
Love is many things and people always have a lot to say about it. So, join me this week as we dive into discussions of dating, relationships, self love and the greatest love of all. Some give love a bad name and others seem to always be stuck in this... love daze.
Thanks for reading, and don't forget... be great! xo.
